Know Your AI Labs started as an experiment: benchmarking AI models in unusual ways, including how racial bias shows up in their outputs.
As AI adoption grew rapidly and went mainstream, we realized that most people who were using AI had no clear understanding of how it worked under the hood. We saw first-hand the confusion and consequences of this knowledge gap in real-world scenarios, in both professional and personal contexts. LinkedIn posts misguiding readers to sell products or promote services. Misinformation being spread like wildfire across social media platforms.
We saw all this from the side, being AI practitioners ourselves, and started wondering how we could help bridge this gap. The answer was education.
Currently head of engineering at a tech scale-up, Andy has spent more than 15 years building and shipping products, offering consultancy services, and mentoring young engineers. He also designs and releases his own AI products under the name Ragdoll Software. He is now focusing on helping people use AI effectively, and responsibly.

Founder of Python for the Lab, Aquiles has extensive experience in designing and delivering educational programs for labs and companies. After obtaining his PhD from Leiden University, he went on to write educational books, advise deep-tech startups, and co-found a nanoparticles analysis company. Today he leads product development at a quantum computing scale-up.
